Hair

Nothing to do with this post, but Pascal just being his charming ol' self

If there is one thing we Rasmussens share in common in our family, it's a lot of hair. Hair that grows, hair that is thick (ok, Pascal's hair isn't all that thick, yet, but I know it's coming), hair that is coarse/curly/wavy and many times unruly. The thinning hair/male pattern baldness gene has skipped us, and for better or worse, we accept that we are a hairy bunch. Thor cuts his own hair, and does a really good job of it (better than I can manage). But he usually waits for a number of months so his beautiful curls really have a chance to shine. I think he's handsome with curls, but I think he's REALLY handsome (hard to keep my hands off him kind of handsome, JFK Jr. impersonator handsome) with a shorter cut. So sometimes I make inferences to suggest to him that I think he could stand to have a haircut. But I've learned that there's no sense in trying to push him into making those kinds of decisions. He must come to it on his own, which he did a week or two back.

I don't have a "before" and "after" picture of Thor, but I do have an "after" picture of what came off his head:
For scale: the hair next to a hand soap bottle

And a second view - enough for a grown man's toupee
